About the Badge
The Royal Scots cap badge is based on the Star of the Order of the Thistle with the Cross of St Andrew. At its centre is a thistle within a circlet bearing the motto Nemo me impune lacessit (“No one attacks me with impunity”), reflecting the regiment's long Scottish identity.
