In the post-war period, the regiment served in Palestine, Cyprus, Bahrain, Aden, Northern Ireland and the Falklands, and later in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Iraq. The Regiment’s soldiers are commonly known as Paras; during the Second World War they also earned the nickname “The Red Devils”.
