The regiment is part of the Royal Armoured Corps and has served on operations including Northern Ireland, Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan. Its cap badge depicts the Prussian Eagle, an emblem inherited through the 14th Hussars and associated with Princess Frederica of Prussia.
