Official MOD-Licensed Military Display Piece
Celebrate the proud heritage of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment with this officially licensed King’s Crown Cap Badge Display Frame. The regiment was formed on 1 July 2006 through the amalgamation of the King’s Own Royal Border Regiment, the King’s Regiment, and the Queen’s Lancashire Regiment, together with their associated Territorial companies. The regiment has served operationally in Iraq and Afghanistan while continuing the traditions of its antecedent regiments. Soldiers of the Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment are known as Kingsmen.
This precision display frame faithfully reproduces the regiment’s distinctive King’s Crown insignia in full colour against a professionally pigment-printed regimental backing. The badge and backing are carefully hand mounted, with each finished display individually assembled in Leicestershire.

About the Badge
The cap badge centres on the Red Rose of Lancaster — a symbol of Lancaster inherited from antecedent units — encircled by the Fontenoy Laurel Wreath commemorating the gallantry of the 34th Regiment of Foot at the Battle of Fontenoy in 1745. The design is surmounted by the King’s Crown (Tudor Crown) representing service during the reign of His Majesty King Charles III, with a scroll bearing the motto Nec Aspera Terrent (Difficulties be Damned).
